In a small town, the owner of a very special bookstore invites patrons to the re-opening show at the theatre. The production is a story everyone knows. We follow some of the patrons and their personal struggles. Key moments of their lives are revealed. As the story continues, we realize our heroes' lives are mirroring those of the characters on the stage as well as other iconic plays. Theatre feeding life, life feeding the theatre.
This passion project is a collaborative film concept that was born out of the MFA Performance program at the University of Georgia. Co-written as an exploration of classic theatre plays existing in the modern filmed world. We have taken great care to maintain the integrity of the characters and honor the essence of their stories. While the stories are often dark dramas, there should be a surreal lightness when possible.
